Poem: A Poem to the Past

A Poem to the Past

Some people laughed and pointed
I saw their words got in your head

As you got off the bus your eyes
looked sad and slightly dead

I wish that I had told you
the things I knew but couldn’t say

I’d tell you life is not a line
and there always is a way

I’m writing you this poem (now)
I’ll send it back in time

And as it reaches you (back then)
in a dream you’ll hear a rhyme

When you wake up it’s forgotten
but the feeling shall remain

You are stronger – you are loved
and weaker is your pain

About: The Believer

I used to be an atheist.

My perspective has changed
so has my heart, mind and soul.

I know very well what it's like
to believe in "science" - which is
equal to trusting in the description
of reality - perceiving the words
as explanation of basic truth.

Words are merely words

feelings cannot be written

neither can colors

or faith.

When I meet an atheist
or someone who puts themselves
within a similar category

it is not rare that
they speak about (my) faith as
something stupid and naive.

My eyes are mirrors

reflecting the dark

and you

are not invisible.

KNORK: Word of Knork

KNORK: Word of Knork

Knork reflects
upon the mystery
of his existence
while the thoughts
in his paper-and-marker mind

floats

onto a square
which places itself
within an envelope
somewhere
in the future

Knork transparently awaits
the arrival of his own words
in a later square

«What did I tell myself
today?» Knork ponders

Poem: The Afterlife Exam

Watercolor and marker on paper.

The Afterlife Exam

Welcome to school

here is your place

now rip out your soul

and open your face

Your character card

has been reviewed

the life that you lived

will be renewed

Not in the shape

or structure it had

’cause your life was good

but you made it bad

All that you did,

said, thought and meant

can be repaired - but

will you repent?

«Surely» you smirk

«there’s another way

I’m loaded with money

I’ll simply pay»

Of course you will pay

everyone must

but all we can bring

from our grave - is dust

Now you’re a fly

buzzing around

eating a leftover

poop that you found

Poem: "God Is Not Real"

Photo taken with Agfa Clack on 120mm film.

«God Is Not Real»

Your arguments are many

like «war and hate exist»

    so does peace and love

is that also on your list?

You claim God isn’t real

that «nothing» is my guide

    confidently stating «if he

    was real he wouldn’t hide»

If there is only «nothing»

how embarrassing for me

    who blindly put my faith

in a God I cannot see

All those hours spent

with the «nothing» in the air

    building inner strength

    by thinking God was there

What a waste of time

all those prayers – all that hope

    if only I knew «nothing»

I could rather moan and mope

Instead I’ve felt the power

of «God» inside my heart

    while drawing faithful lines

    in my poetry and art

You think I’m rather silly

perhaps delusional and dumb

    I pity you for this

I see your soul - and it is numb

About: Heavy School Bag (Red) & (Green)

HEAVY SCHOOL BAG (RED)

HEAVY SCHOOL BAG (GREEN)

TUNG SKOLESEKK (GRØNN)

There are many reasons why
children can be unhappy at school.

My first and best school bag
was a red plaid rucksack with
white leather straps.

I have always enjoyed being
alone with myself but that
has always felt like a flaw.

Something wrong that
I should change.

I was wrong
about that.

 Being social is not
the meaning of life
for everyone.

To prefer your own company
is not a fault that needs fixing.

Unfortunately it took me many
years to learn this and I am
still making new habits of being
authentic instead of "normal".

 School was difficult for me.

I was tired, tense, irritated, sad, confused,
"too quiet" and did not think good thoughts
about myself or anyone around me.

Sitting in that chair, stuck
with people I did not like
(mostly not because of them
learning things that did not
interest me at all:

My eyes gazed out
through the window

but I was looking
inside of my mind.

Dreaming and
hallucinating

to escape and survive
the boredom of school.

Poem: The Reaper

Coloring pencils, markers and highlighters on paper.

The Reaper

Like a cloud
on a mountain
    on top
    of the sea

I rest
on your shoulder
    quiet
    and free

Like a raindrop
or dew
    in a field
    of stone

I am one
and many
    unique
    and alone

Like a sheep
with wool
    black
    as night

I am ready
to listen
    scatter
    or fight

Like a sigh
from a soul
    yet
    to exist

I am writing
your name
    on an endless
    list

About: Blue Jesus With Curly Moustache

BLUE JESUS WITH CURLY MOUSTACHE

BLÅ JESUS MED SNURREBART

We are all children of God.

I made this drawing for God
so He can "hang it on his fridge"
like a loving father would cherish
a drawing from his child.

The two bluebells (me) are the same
but the one in the hot air balloon is dead
while the one on His eye is alive.

The blue curly moustache is a fun detail
like when children draw their parents
with gigantic heads or creative hairstyles
and perhaps their house as a castle.

 Bird in the water
fish in the sky

as Heaven
is also a sea.

Do you see the cloud-Lamb?

Poem: The Biggest Lie

Watercolor pencil and marker on paper.

The Biggest Lie

In a world where everyone

    really is dead

you grow up alone

with a chip in your head

no one knows anything

    if it’s worth knowing

we all want to leave

    but no one is going

a longing is shared

    the need for a burst

something to feed us

    and quench our thirst

carried by all

    mentioned by none

unspoken agreement

    that hope is gone

a feeling of apathy

    growing within

but from hollow and empty

    hope can begin

because you can name it

    you know that it’s there

a whisper awakens

    inside of you: «Where?»

outside of the borders

    surrounded by grief

you sadly acknowledge

    life is a thief

Poem: Lines of the Lighthouse Keeper

Watercolor pencil and marker on paper, 2026.

Lines of the Lighthouse Keeper

Alone you stood
not knowing why
    I chose to leave you
    for an empty sky

You wonder still
and I did get your letter
    answers are nice
    silence is better

As a result
of freedom and fame
    I have lost my light
    forgotten my name

One day you too
will soar through the air
    and I shall be anyone
    or no one up there

KNORK: Social

KNORK: Social

"Knork probably enjoys being around other characters

he surely does not become very depressed if he socialises a lot

Knork definitely likes to hang out with his friends
family and aquaintances most of the time

if (for some strange and unexplainable reason) this isn't the case
then Knork should change and become someone he's not
so that he can fit in

there shouldn't be any other solution"

Knork wants to leave the party
so he instead can gaze at the clouds
through his binoculars

About: Cold Feelings

COLD FEELINGS

KALDE FØLELSER

For over 20 years I have used different
kinds of antipsychotics and in some periods
also antidepressants.

The last couple of years - since finding faith,
starting ketogenic therapy, doing a lot of workouts
in my mind (introspection, focus, change +++)
I have been able to gradually reduce my drug dose
(in cooperation with my psychiatrist) and I
am slowly moving towards zero mg.

It has been a difficult, wonderful,
painful, lonely, hopeful, grief-filled
and surprising journey.

My drawing "Cold Feelings" illustrates part of
that experience. The medication leaving my body.
My body and mind reacting and slowly adapting.

Ice melting from my soul.

Every day - all is new.

The space in my mind
which used to be filled with
psychotic symptoms
and worries is

now

(in the present)

constantly changing
and tomorrow is far away
every new day.
